Today I went back to Tender Greens to get the salt and pepper chicken with the usual spinach salad.  I went at about 1:40ish, and there wasn't a lot of people like there usually are so there wasn't much of a line.  Ordering went fine, but I noticed at the end the person ringing me up kinda threw everything together and handed my food off to me.  It wasn't until I got to my cubicle that I noticed he neglected to toss in utensils like they usually do.  Slight annoyance, but really no big deal.

I got 4 pieces of chicken, I wasn't really sure how many usually come with it as it's my first time ordering it.  It looks good, but again, it's a lot of salad and not a whole lot of protein.  I'm starting to see a pattern with Tender Greens, and it's unfortunate.

While eating, I've noticed there's also a thimble sized amount of goat cheese in here and a bunch of nuts.  I'm pretty disappointed so far, even if the chicken tastes good it doesn't make up for everything else and what I paid for.  Eh, overall disappointing really sums up my lunch for the day.  Tomorrow I'll hit up another place that'll give me a ton more food and has yet to disappoint.

April 13, 2015

Went to Tender Greens today and I grabbed their spinach salad with seared albacore tuna.  The salad's pretty awesome, but sometimes I only get 2 cuts of albacore and randomly at other times I'll get 4.  It's a little inconsistent.. I checked back with my other photos and noticed I've been getting 2 pieces pretty consistently, and today I got 3 pieces of some pretty thick cuts.  Sooo yeah.. I tweeted at Tender Greens and they said I should be getting 4 oz of albacore, regardless of how many pieces it is.  So alright, but I've seen the employees working there and I'm pretty sure I've never seen the people putting it together put the pieces of meat onto a scale before moving it along.

For what you get, it's pretty standard, but the price might be a little steep.  It comes out to about 12 dollars for spinach, some crumbled nuts, a spoonful of goat cheese, vinaigrette, a grilled piece of bread, and whatever meat you want that they have available.  It ranges from beef, fish, chicken, or veggies.  I've gotten the beef a few times, and it's usually pretty good.  At times I'll get some really tough cuts with fat in them and it's tough to get through.  I've never tried the chicken before, but maybe I'll try it tomorrow.

Goal!

I've created this blog in order to better evaluate the meals I have for lunch here around the Burbank area, and to make sure that the portions and quality are consistent.  Starting tomorrow (since I already inhaled my lunch today) I'll be starting!  Pictures? You bet!  Opinions? Whether you wanted them or not! This is mostly for myself and it'll probably help me pick healthier meals.. but you're welcome to read if you want
